Toppbox Review By Darren – December 2020

This is the final review from me this year and as usual Toppbox have put together another great selection. I always look forward to seeing what new products I am going to get to try out but as usual I have to stop Nazia from taking her pick of the new products before me! I would like to say a big thank you to Alham for sending this box for me to unbox and review.

If you missed my wife and I unboxing Toppbox live on Facebook, you can catch it here on the BoXession YouTube channel:

What I thought:

Hawkins & Brimble energising eye cream
This is a brand I am familiar with having used a few of their other products I have received in previous boxes. This eye cream was easy to apply and rubbed in quickly leaving a slight tingle on my skin. The tingle helps to wake you up in the morning and the cream left my under eyes feeling smooth and refreshed after a few days use.

UpCircle Citrus blend coffee face scrub
This was a product I had to try quickly before Nazia took it for herself! This has an amazing fresh citrus smell infused with the coffee aroma from the recycled grounds used as the basis for the scrub. After using it for the last week it has left my face feeling fresh and revived, the coffee grounds helped to exfoliate and remove the dirt and grime from wearing a mask all day. Another great thing about this product is the use of recycled coffee grounds making sure they don’t go to waste.

Soap Conscious vegan charcoal detox body bar
This bar is exclusive to Toppbox and is vegan friendly, cruelty free, plastic and chemical free. The lime peel oil and rosemary gives the bar a refreshing scent which also helps to re-energise me in the morning when I used it. The bar left my skin feeling clean and invigorated and didn’t dry it out like some other products I have used in the past.

Salt of the earth pure armour explorer natural roll on deodorant
I don’t tend to use a roll on deodorant as I prefer using a spray but I have been pleasantly surprised with this product. It has a fresh citrus and woody scent that isn’t overpowering, the roll on left my underarms feeling fresh after a full day at work which is the important thing with a deodorant. This is another product in this months box that is both cruelty free and vegan friendly.

Seacret Spa hand cream with shea butter
Seacret is another brand I have seen and used before and I have always found their products to be fantastic. This hand cream was no exception, it left my hands feeling hydrated which lasted for a while thanks to the shea butter in the cream. Having to frequently wash my hands at work they can get dry and sore, so I go through hand cream quickly, so this was the perfect product to get in this months box for me.

Bespoke London fresh citrus & Vetiver eau de parfam
This sample size aftershave let me try out the scent for a few days to see if I liked it. I found the citrusy woody scent pleasant for every day wear as it wasn’t overpowering so I will be keeping an eye out for this in the shops to get some more, as it’s a great everyday scent to wear.

THIS BOX IS WORTH AN AMAZING VALUE OF £65.42! THAT’S A SAVING OF £41.42 THIS MONTH!

Verdict

This month’s box brought a few brands I had used before along with some new brands which I have tried out. In all the time I have been receiving these boxes I haven’t had a duplicate of an item which I have been happy about as it means I have been able to try out as many different products as possible. This month’s box was great value and all the products have been great to test out and all have produced really good results. Use the code TB15 for 15% off your first box!
