What did I think?
Aveda Damage Remedy
Aveda is a brand that I have seen quite often but have not had the chance to personally try myself, so this was a good opportunity to do so. I was expecting a small tube but was pleasantly surprised that this was in fact full size! I find that many leave in products can weigh my hair down and make it look very limp. This however, leaves my hair feeling light and soft and has definitely made an improvement to the condition of my heat damaged hair. I cannot rate it highly enough; it has literally changed my hair for the better, my hair is left soft and shiny. It may not be the cheapest product on the market but a little goes a long way.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil
I really like the NARS brand so I knew this lip pencil would be one of my choices this month. Do Me Baby is a beautiful warm plum shade that give a velvety matte finish. The formula is creamy and applies smoothly and is very comfortable to wear. Perfect to use as either a lip liner or a lipstick and is a fabulous size to pop into even the smallest bags. However, I did experience some transfer when eating and drinking so you will need to reapply so something to keep in mind.
NARS High-pigment Longwear Eyeliner
When I saw that there was another NARS product up for grabs, I knew i had to have that too haha! Eyeliner is a must in my daily make up looks so I was intrigued to see how this compared to other brands I own. The pencil tip is soft so application is effortless as it glides on well however, this is not long lasting at all and it smudges which is the worst attribute an eyeliner could have. I was really hoping this was going to be THE eyeliner that I’ve been looking for, but sadly it seems the search continues!
KVD Go Big or Go Home Mascara
KVD is another brand that I quite like and mascara is a one of my favourite products to wear so it was only natural that I was drawn towards this product. This is a great mascara, especially if you like a fuller dramatic look, the wand has big fluffy bristles that saturate the lashes really well without clumping, and most importantly stays put all day long!
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème
I am using the banana bright vitamin c serum from this range which I am completely in love with, so I choose this item to see if it worked just as well. Although only a small sample I wasn’t too sure what to expect but after a week’s use I’m pretty pleased with the results. I can definitely notice a slight improvement, the appearance of my under eyes are a little brighter and I look more awake than I usually do which, as a busy parent to a young teething toddler, I can really appreciate! I’m confident with further use the results will be just as positive.
Polaar Night Moisturising Body Milk
I’ve been using Polaar products as part of my daily routine for a while now and the products work really well with my skin, so I was happy to see this featured in this month’s selection. I’ve been wowed by how soft and bright my skin looks and feels over the past week that I’ve been using this product! Infusing skin with moisture all night long, this nourishing body milk delivers a veil of instant and long-lasting hydration to leave skin feeling quenched and refreshed come morning!
Estee Lauder Hand Sanitiser
This sanitiser was the extra item added into this month’s box. Given our current circumstances I think this is the perfect essential item to receive to keep hands germfree and it’s also ideal for cleansing your hands on the go.
My fourth LIB box of 2020 and I’m really pleased with everything I have received. Such great high end brands for a bargain price! The products selection varies from beauty, skin care, make up, lifestyle and tools, so you’re guaranteed to find something you like. You are able to upgrade or downgrade your monthly subscription to suit your needs. So, what’s not to love about this box?! I have brought previous boxes and I will buy many future boxes! Their collection boxes are also one to keep your eyes on as they collaborate with well-known companies to bring you the best boxes on the market for competitive prices.
