Gabriele Fragrance Box Review by Mel – November 2020

I love it when a new box is launched, even more so when it is a box I would buy. Thank you to Gabriele Fragrance Box for kindly asking me to review your launch box! I am very humbled. Gabriele is in fact an Italian male name pronounced Ga-bri-el-ei, They are based in the UK but they have strong connections to Italy. Gabriele Fragrance Box is named after their son.

This Box is a Fragrance discovery box, it contains 3 x 8ml atomisers each month, to enable you to ‘try before you buy’. It also contains added treats and a discovery magazine.

The box arrived via Royal Mail, and had a logo on the outside of the matte black lid, so I instantly knew what it was. Inside I was pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail and luxuriousness of the packaging.

If you missed my live unboxing, you can watch it back on our Facebook Group or by clicking play below on our YouTube Channel…

How much does it cost?

This is a very straightforward subscription, which is just £25 per month, P&P included. You are not tied in, and can cancel at anytime.

They do a Gentlemen’s and a Ladies version, so would be perfect as a gift for a loved one. Subscriptions are the gift that keeps on giving after all!

What is inside the Box?

  • 3 x Atomisers each containing 8ml of Fragrance
  • Velvet presentation bag
  • Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter 20g
  • Clinell Antibacterial Hand wipe
  • Hot Chocolate Stirrer & Marshmallows
  • Narciso Rodriguez Mure Musc EDP Sample 1ml
  • Lindt Chocolate Reindeer
  • Fragrance booklet

Ok, so first I will talk about each of the fragrances I have tried throughout the last week.

The atomisers are a matte metallic, and very expensive looking. You twist them which reveals the silver press down spray button. I received 1 deep red one, and 2 midnight blue ones. They were packaged inside a beautiful printed velvet drawstring grey bag.

CK One Shock

This is a really fruity and floral fragrance, and fresh. It is the kind of scent you could wear in the Summer. If I am honest, it is not at all my thing, but I can appreciate how people love this style of fragrance. It was fairly long lasting, I did re apply later in the day though. That is normal for an EDT though, as opposed to an EDP.

Hugo Boss The Scent, Private Accord

Now this, is exactly the kind of perfume I would buy. It is deep, chocolatey, with a base of dark roasted cocoa and tonka beans. I absolutely adore this. The mandarin in it gives it a really oriental feel, it is very ‘posh’ smelling. I would definitely purchase this.

Rihanna, Rebelle

This was also a fragrance I would lean towards, with its deep musky and fruity notes. I really did like this, and when I first put it on I was very much enjoying sniffing my wrists. It was just not as long lasting as the Hugo Boss, and I would probably not buy it again even though I loved the smell.

Hot Chocolate Stirrer

I love these, and how fitting that it is included this time of year with the cold dark nights. You use these with warmed milk, and just stick it in your cup and stir to make your drink. Yummy indeed!

Lindt Chocolate Reindeer

My absolute favourite, this was eaten straight after my unboxing, I wanted to buy more after eating one.

Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter

This is also a really great addition to the box, as at this time of year your lips really do take the brunt of the cold. I love products with cocoa butter in too.

Narciso Rodriguez Mure Musc Sample

I have not yet tried this, I have been to busy testing out the others, but I certainly will get around to.

My Verdict?

I am certainly impressed with this box. One of the things I have mentioned a lot in the past about fragrance subscriptions, is that I want a touch of luxury and to feel spoilt when I receive my boxes. This box definitely does that.

It is well thought out, the atomisers are expensive looking and are ideal for your handbag or weekends away. You are able to really test out the fragrances over the month, and re purchase any that you love. The extra Beauty and edible treats give the box its identity in the subscription box market, as I have not seen another one like it to date.

I would definitely enjoy receiving this box again, and would highly recommend subscribing.

They currently have a Black Friday offer for 20% off your first box. The code is ‘BLACKFRIDAY20’. There is a limit to the amount of uses, so hurry!

Thanks for reading, and have a lovely Christmas!
