Ink Drops Stationery Review by Mel – October 2020

Thank you to the lovely Carla and Anastasia for sending me the October edition of Ink Drops Stationery. For all of you Stationery addicts, this really is a mix of everything. I always find items in this subscription that I use in my day to day life. My kids even get use out of it, not that I have any choice in the matter when they see something that they want!

This Subscription for me teams fun, organisation, and convenience. Do I have the time to shop for most of these items? Very rare! It also means that I always have some essential stationery items to hand just when I need them. It is letterbox friendly for most of you (my letterbox is too small), so most of the time you won’t need to be home for Mr/Mrs Postie.

This Months edit arrived via Royal Mail in the usual boxelope (Box Envelope), and when you open that there is a further envelope inside which looks like this…

If you missed my live unboxing on our Facebook Group then click on the link to go there, or click play below to watch back on our YouTube Channel…

How much will it cost?

There are now 3 options for Subscriptions:

  1. Card Subscription – £10 per month
  2. Card & Stationery Subscription (What I received) – £15 per month
  3. Stationery Extravaganza – £110 per quarter

You can also purchase Gift Subscriptions for the gift that keeps on giving!

There is no minimum term on a subscription, and it is simple to cancel via PayPal. You can also buy their monthly edits as a one-off via the online shop.

The cut off date for stationery subscriptions or one off monthly parcels is midnight on the 7th of every month – if you purchase your subscription after the 7th of any given month, you will receive the next month’s box.

In this months box you’ll find

  • Planner stickers in pretty pastels, perfect for bullet journals, filofaxes or calendars.
  • Hand embossed sunflower print card, a luxurious way to send sunshine this month.
  • Foiled envelope bags – we’re starting to think about Christmas, but these also make wonderful scrapbook and planner inclusions.
  • Modern floral card – to brighten up someone’s day.
  • Ice Ice Blue (yes the ice is there twice) metallic marker – we’re currently using this on everything papery we can find.

Hand Embossed Sunflower Print Card

I love sunflowers, I wish I could grow some in my garden. They really are one of the most cheerful flowers. This card is a lovely quality, and I think the envelope is from recycled paper too. This has multiple uses,  and is even pretty enough to frame in my opinion.

Modern Floral Card

I do love the smaller cards for when I do gift boxes or Teacher gifts. This one again could be for any occasion, or just because!

Noteworthy Planner Stickers

I enjoy using my planner, for work and life. Being organised takes me to my happy place. These are fab, and small enough too, as I find some can be a bit big for my a5 planner.

Bare Basics Foiled Envelope Bags

These would actually be a great idea to put Christmas gift cards in! They are exactly the right size. You could even use them as money envelopes, or for putting a cheque in? Although not advisable to post money. It is tricky to know what to buy people this year, and I think gift cards will mean they can choose what they like. I personally love to buy people subscription boxes for gifts, the gift that keeps on giving!

Ice Ice Blue Metallic Marker Pen

This will look pretty when writing out my Christmas cards! Perfect winter colour! It will also be beautiful for writing in my planner with.

My Verdict?

I have to say that everything in the box this month will be useful to me. Especially since there is a 17 day ban on buying any Stationery or Greetings Cards here in Wales. Working from home I get a lot of use out of the items in Ink Drops Box.

I genuinely look forward to my Ink Drops delivery each month, sometimes it is nice just to enjoy useful items that I use each day, rather than spending every night with a different facemask on. If you are a Stationery Addict, then this is one I highly recommend you subscribe to. You really cannot go wrong for these prices.

It is definitely worth browsing their Website for gift ideas, they have a Build your own section for those who want to know exactly what they are getting, or they now also do a Mystery Box for just £10! Perfect way to treat yourself!

It is also worth checking out their Blog. Lots of Articles have been written by the owners of this Subscription! For a Sneak Peek of the August Box, click here!
