What I thought:

The items are packaged in a big recyclable box that has the elegant DBB logo on the top in gold print. Inside I found a lovely handwritten card which I really appreciate as it adds that extra personal touch. This month’s box features a boxful of brands that I’d either not heard of or used before. I’m always excited to discover something new and to find products that work for me so I couldn’t wait to get stuck in!

Bourn Beautiful Naturals

The first three products I unboxed was from the Bourn Beautiful Naturals range, which is a new brand for me. I received a Face Off Cleansing Oil, a Body Velvet Supreme and a Deep Conditioner. My favourite item out of the three was surprisingly the face oil! I have combination skin and I must admit I’ve avoided using oil cleansers as I had the misconception that it would make my face feel extra greasy, but this really wasn’t the case. The cleanser is light in application and lathers up when rubbing into the skin which easily removes make up and dirt. I used one pump which was plenty to use across the whole of my face so a little really goes a long way. After washing the product off my face, I immediately noticed how smooth and soft my skin felt, something I didn’t expect after just one use, and I loved the sweet sherbet scent from this cleanser too. Next up I used the Body Velvet Supreme which claims to combat dry tight skin. The driest part of my body has always been my legs so I applied it after jumping out of the shower. It has a thick creamy consistency and applied really well to the skin without feeling greasy or sticky. I received the vanilla spice fragrance which is just divine and smells almost good enough to eat! The scent lingers on the skin for a fair while after application too so the aroma follows you! Ladies, I’m so impressed on how well this kept my legs moisturised – say goodbye to dry flaky skin as this product works just as good as it claims to, it’s probably one of the best creams I’ve used in ages! It penetrates deeply replenishing moisture and strengthening the look of skin making it look renewed and fresh. The last item I received from this brand was the Deep Conditioner. I really liked the soft whipped texture of this conditioner and how easy I found it to apply. I’m quite picky when it comes to hair products as I find most products tend to weigh my hair down or leave it greasy. This product did no such thing, it is deeply moisturising and leaves hair feeling silky soft to the touch. I have quite fine hair so the one thing I will mention is that next time I’ll probably only apply to the ends and not the roots as I felt it didn’t give my hair much oomph. This may be because it’s designed for curly hair rather than my straight, slightly wavy hair but nonetheless it did a great job of rehydrating and adding some shine to my hair plus it smells terrific too.

Micheline Arcier Harmonie Bath Oil

I enjoy having daily showers but every now and again I love to take a long hot soak in the tub and this has given me the perfect excuse to do just that. This blend of oils is specifically blended in aiding a restful night’s sleep which is something that I could really do with at the moment. On opening the first hit of the aroma is quite strong and overpowering but once you add a few drops to your tub the scent mellows out. Breathing in the vapours I instantly felt myself relax and the days worries melt away. This oil has an exquisite and luxurious feel to it and all in all, it felt magically calming, as if I had done a yoga class followed by a full body massage!

Lycheexo Eye Pigments & Lycheexo Brush

I received two gorgeous pigments in the shades pink glow and bronze glow from Lycheexo which is a brand I’d never had the opportunity to use until now. These pigments are absolutely stunning and create a high-level bling effect that really packs a punch! I use it in the corner of my eyes, and on the brow bone to really make my eyes pop, alternatively, I use it to highlight the top of my cheeks by lightly dusting it with a large fluffy brush. The pigments can be used either dry for a lovely shimmery result or wet for an intense metallic effect. I like how versatile is it and how little you need to use which means these pots should last a good while. A brush is also included which is great for applying the pigment to your eyes.

I often find that many beauty boxes don’t cater to my skin tone so I end with many tanning products and bronzers which I have no use for, so it’s refreshing to see a box that is suitable for all complexions on the market. Shops have expanded to include additional products that cater to more people, but the need for beauty subscription boxes for women of different complexions is still essential. This is where Discovered Beauty Box comes in, as a lot of thought has gone into making it very inclusive. The products are suitable for different hair and skin types which makes it one of the few boxes on the market that do this and I think for what you receive the price is very reasonable. I’m a big fan of supporting small businesses so I really like that this box also features smaller and lesser known brands, after all that’s how we discover what works for us!

For those of you looking for something a little different and more suited to your beauty needs it’s definitely worth checking this box out, especially since your first box will have 15% off with the code ‘BOXES15.’ I have linked the website and social media handles below, go check them out!
