Stay at Home Pamper Kit by NJD Cosmetics Review by Gemma- May 2020

Something a little different today! We were contacted by one of our lovely group members, Nicky Jade, who has launched her own line of natural skincare and lip care products and she wanted to send us some out to review! I was the lucky one who got to receive these goodies, in the form of her Stay at Home Pamper kit- perfect with the current situation!

The company was founded in early 2020 in Carlise by Nicky, who has a love for natural cosmetics. She felt it was a natural progression to try making her own and when she realised that her formulas were good, she knew she couldn’t keep them to herself! She makes hydrating natural products for any age and gender, staying away from harmful chemicals making the products 100% safe. She makes everything from oils to scrubs and all are inclusive for everyone and kind to the skin!

Sounds amazing right? I quick glance at her website (linked below), I can see that the prices are super reasonable and I am sure she is busy working away to add even more products to her offerings too!

So, onto the box then! It arrived via MyHermes, the delivery was fast and everything arrived in one piece. The box was a simple cardboard box, with thank you stickers and branded stickers sealing the goodies inside.

Check out my unboxing video below (and don’t forget to join our facebook group to catch all the latest unboxings live and interactive!):

When I opened the box, I was met with sky blue tissue paper sealed with another branded sticker. When I peeled that back, I was met with:

Doesn’t it all look so cute? Everything individually wrapped- it felt like Christmas unwrapping everything!

The first item I unwrapped was the Oat Scrub in a cute little metal tin. This consists of finely ground oats, Organic Shea Butter, Lavender Essential Oil, Rose Geranium Essential Oil and Jojoba Oil. It exfoliates, nourishes and calms the skin. When I opened this up, I noticed the smell of the Lavender straight away- normally I am not a fan of floral type smells due to having hayfever but this was really subtle and calming. I used this the morning after I received it and it is the first time I have used oats as anything other than a breakfast food! I have to say, it left my skin glowing and soft all day!

The second item was the Vanilla Lip Balm, which is a subtle blush pink colour. I mistakenly said this smelled of coconut on my live, but in my defence, they both smell lovely! Vanilla is one of my favourite scents so I was super pleased about this. It contains Organic Castor Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Yellow Beeswax, Organic Cocoa Butter and Liquid Vitamin E. This left my lips feeling soft and hydrated all day and is the perfect size for slipping into your bag for on the go use!

The next item was the Peppermint Lip Scrub, which is a wonderful bright green colour! It is also the item I spilled on my counter top during my live video (I never professed to not being clumsy!). This is a simple sugar scrub that literally contains sugar, coconut oil and the peppermint flavouring. I was a little worried about this at first, as mint makes me sneeze (again, hayfever) and sometimes peppermint can burn or tingle, but this didn’t at all! It felt gentle on the lips as I was using it and even after it was removed, my lips had a lovely soft feel, especially when teamed with the lip balm above!

The next item was the Detoxing Face Mask, which is pink clay based. I am sure we have all seen the adverts for that famous Australian brand of pink clay masks, so we know that this is a popular ingredient in skincare! This contains Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Natural White Clay and Natural Pink Clay and helps to expel acne, red skin and breakouts as well as balancing your skins natural oils. The pink clay is super fine and tones and refines the skin. It is good for any skin type, but apparently works especially well for those with mature and sensitive skin. You only need to leave this on for 5-10 minutes to see the benefits. I loved this- it definitely compares to the big name brands out there! I am lucky that I don’t tend to suffer with too many spots, but I can get the odd one or two at times of stress or that time of the month so it is always handy to have products like this around when you need them!

I will also mention that she included 2 little blue scoops for you to use to scoop out just the right amount of products- you can use this with anything too!

I also received another peppermint lip scrub in a smaller tub, as every single order gets a 10ml tester of either a scrub or a lip balm too!

The Prices

The price for the Stay at Home Pamper Kit is £20, which I think is an absolute steal when you consider the prices of some more well known products that do the same thing!

All items are available individually on the website as well!

Nicky has very kindly offered us an exclusive discount code for the first 100 of our members- if you spend at least £20, you will get 15% off your order with the code Boxession2020. And, for a further 15% off, you just need to sign up for her newsletter!

My Verdict.

I am a huge fan of natural products, I prefer them over anything, so it is always my pleasure to try out new brands- especially when they are small businesses! I have absolutely loved trying out these gorgeous products and will be very sad when they run out- I can see me stocking up! Thank you so much to Nicky for sending out these wonderful goodies and for your very generous offer (above). I wish you every success with your business!
