What I Thought:
Klorane Dry Shampoo
Suitable for all hair types, the shampoo helps your locks regain volume and bounce, leaving them looking luscious and refreshed. This is fantastic stuff! I religiously use dry shampoo in between washes and usually stick to one particular brand however; I received this in my last box and this has been a game changer ever since! I have quite fine hair, and this gives it extra oomph when it’s looking a bit lifeless and freshens up my hair without leaving a powdery residue behind.
Kalmer Calm Deep Cocoon Shower Cream
This is not a brand I am familiar with, but before selecting I did a quick google search and liked that the brand was about creating a wellbeing experience and to empower the modern woman on her healing journey. The product is wrapped in cellophane and on removal a heady aroma of floral and herbal scents drifted out. This shower cream is super creamy and lathers up really nicely in the shower and I found the wonderful aromas really relaxing. The best thing is the scent lingers on the skin after showering too, enveloping you in that comforting smell. The only downside is the expensive price tag that comes with it!
Mac Chili Matte Lipstick
I haven’t bought a Mac lipstick in quite some time as I much prefer liquid lipsticks. However, I am a sucker for a matte lip and LiB had a shade that really caught my eye – a dark reddish orange colour called Chili. It applies very easily and smoothly and the rich creamy formula feels very nice too. It sets matte but without drying out my lips and wears fairly well. It’s certainly a very bold colour, so if you’re feeling daring then definitely give this a go!
Mum & You Get Up and Glow Body Scrub
I am a big fan of body scrubs I own a whole cupboard full (shh don’t my husband!). Anything that will buff and scrub away the impurities is right up my street. It contains a combination of almond shell and coconut husk to gently remove dry and dull skin and almond oil to help hydrate the skin. I really enjoyed using this product, and loved how gorgeously soft and moisturised my skin was after using.
Mum & You Bright Eyes Gel
I’m no stranger to having little sleep, I think most mums suffer sleep deprivation so when I saw this eye gel, I knew it was for me. I like that it has a little rollerboll on the end which is really cooling on the skin! I’ve been using this twice a day for the past week and I must say my eyes do feel quite refreshed and revitalised. I like that it’s a really generous sized tube too!
Laidbare Spot the Difference
This oil free, mattifying treatment cream soothes sensitive skin while reducing lumps and bumps. I have combination skin so my t-zone can become quite greasy and now and again it does break out. I’ve tried several different creams but none have worked as well this! I really like this product and I can see a clear difference within 24 hours on any spots/blemishes it’s applied to. I’ve used many products over the years and this is the first one I would definitely recommend.
Look Good Feel Better Angled Blending Brush
A hand-sculpted blending brush designed for contouring and shading. Its angled, flat-headed tip allows you to accurately buffer around the eye area for definition. ‘Look Good Feel Better’ is the only global cancer charity supporting women with the visible side effects of cancer treatment. I do love a good blending brush and you can never have too many brushes! The bristles are soft and fluffy and they did a great job blending eyeshadow as one would hope and it supports a good cause – so what’s not to like about it?!
My first LIB box of 2020 and I’m really pleased with everything I have received. Near enough all the products are full sized and for a bargain price! The products selection varies from beauty, skin care, make up, lifestyle and tools, so you’re guaranteed to find something you like. You are able to upgrade or downgrade your monthly subscription to suit your needs. So, what’s not to love about this box?! I have brought previous boxes and I will buy many future boxes! Their collection boxes are also one to keep your eyes on as they collaborate with well-known companies to bring you the best boxes on the market for competitive prices.
