MaskTime Glow Setter by Gemma August 2019

Thank you so much to Estee at Masktime for sending me this box to review! It is one of my favourite boxes, having been a subscriber for a while prior to taking on this collaboration for Boxession! For those of you who are unfamiliar with MaskTime, they are a KBeauty Sheet Mask Subscription box. KBeauty is light years ahead of the rest when it comes to skincare, and their masks are second to none. I have never tried a KBeauty sheet mask I didn’t like!  There are a couple of different options for subscriptions, which I will go through a little later.

For now, you can catch the video of my unboxing of this box on our YouTube channel now (and subscribe if you haven’t already!):

I love their packaging- a cute baby pink colour with the words ‘You’ve got it glowing on’ written in white on the lid. I really like this- it’s fresh, clean and new. I couldn’t wait to get into it and find the goodies inside! Here is what I found on opening:

Look how cute it all is! The theme this month is Sun, Sea and Glowing skin- very apt for this time of year!

The first mask is from a familiar brand- Holika Holika Watermelon Sheet Mask (RRP £3.00). This is a cooling and soothing sheet mask infused with 90% Watermelon Complex to provide nutrients and elasticity to tired skin during hot summer days. It also prevents dryness and protects from irritation. It contains Watermelon, which has Lycopene to restore UV damage, brighten skin and provide anti-oxidant benefits. It also has Apple, Strawberry and Pomegranate to promote blood circulation, provide abundant hydration and provide anti-aging benefits. I absolutely loved the packaging on this, so it was the first one I used! I loved the fruitiness of this mask and the way it made my skin feel afterwards- supple, smooth and hydrated! Amazing, as always!

The second mask is from Jayjun and is Honey Dew Red Mask (RRP £4.00). This contains five different red fruit complexes to help unclog pores, balance skins pH levels and brighten overall complexion. It contains Tomato, which helps to reduce oil secretion and balance skins water levels. It also contains Strawberry, which is packed with Vitamin C to nourish the skin with nutrients, Grapefruit to act as an anti-bacterial and clear out the pores and Cherry to firm skin and improve elasticity. Apple tightens pores and firms saggy skin whilst Honey is a great form of moisture and is an anti-inflammatory. That’s a whole lot of good in one mask!

The third mask is Tony Moly Fresh To Go Pineapple Mask Sheet (RRP £3.50). It is infused with real fruit extracts to give dull skin a new lease of life. It effectively smooths out rough surfaces and acts as a gentle exfoliant too. It contains Pineapple, which is high in vitamin c and Beta Carotene to help fight skin damage caused by sun and pollution, as well as Camellia Oil, which is non greasy and a rich source of fatty acids to moisturise skin. I have used a few Tony Moly masks before- they really are a front runner in KBeauty sheet masks and this was equally as good as all the ones I have tried before- my skin was brighter and much softer than before.

The fourth mask was HelloSkin Jumiso Rich Nourishment Mask (RRP £3.50). First of all, I love the packaging of this- yoga is definitely a passion of mine- I may wear this whilst doing yoga! This is a rich moisturising mask, with the key ingredient of Black Ginseng, which is a staple in Korean food and skincare! It revitalises damaged and tired skin, as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties to protect from free radicals. It also contains Argan Oil, which is packed with Omega fatty acids and Vitamin E to moisturise skin, reduce acne and soften dry areas.

The fifth mask was InnisFree Skin Clinic Mask Collagen (RRP £3.50). This is a 100% pure cotton mask, so it is soft and delicate on the skin. It is soaked in collagen to rejuvenate your skin to leave it firmer and more resilient. It contains Tomato to help reduce oil secretion and balance water levels in the skin, Collagen to promote vibrant glowing skin- it is an essential protein that provides the skins surface with elasticity. It also has Grapefruit extracts, which are high in Vitamin C to fight sun damage and reduce wrinkles. I used this on a pamper morning and my skin was so plump and firm afterwards, so great for skin that is getting on the mature side!

The sixth mask was from a brand I am not familiar with- Leaders and it was their Juicy Pina Colada Bright Mask-Pineapple and Coconut (RRP £4.00). How eye catching and cute is this? If you can’t make it to the beach, this mask will definitely make you feel like you’re there! It is rich in vitamins and is perfect to use for intensive hydration and vitality! It contains Pineapple to help produce new collagen to strengthen and structure the skin and reduce inflammation. It also contains Coconut Water to brighten dull skin, lighten pigmentation and provide anti-aging benefits and finally, Niacinamide, which protects and reforms the skins natural barrier, improves the appearance of enlarged pores and even out overall skin tone. I loved this tropical mask and definitely felt like I was on a beach somewhere exotic as I lay on my bed (In not so exotic Yorkshire!). And my skin definitely reaped the benefits too, looking brighter and feeling hydrated!

The final mask was by Illyoon and was their Ice Cool Mask Green Tea (RRP £4.00). This is a cooling mask, so perfect for hot and humid days. It gives immediate relief to sun damaged skin and quenches dry skin with a flood of moisture. It contains Yuja Fruit, which has 3 times more Vitamin C than Lemon and helps to produce collagen to reduce the damage from free radicals and give you healthy skin. It also contains Tea Tree, which is an anti-inflammatory and soothing ingredient to balance out oil levels and control the secretion of sebum.

So a total RRP of £25.50.

My verdict.

I could not love this box more if I tried. The chance to pamper, have some time for yourself and recharge with some high quality KBeauty sheet masks that suit the time of year perfectly! I sometimes struggle to know what my skin needs month to month but for some reason, Masktime knows! I am a mask addict, and this box fulfils all my needs and more.
