G&T Club Review by Mel – July 2019

A Huge Thank you to Christian & Konrad, the Co Founders of G&T Club, for asking us to review their Subscription Box! This is now our fourth box, and I had only just published the June box when this arrived the day after. We have enough Gin now for a fabulous housewarming party in our new house next month!

Gin has become increasingly popular over the last few years, and my other half, Rob, is particularly fond of a G&T. I don’t mind a little tipple too, you know in the evening when the kids are in bed.

I have seen a few Gin subscription boxes, but this one caught my eye because this box contains a FULL size bottle. The one thing that has steered me away from the smaller bottle subscriptions is that Rob does not do small when it comes to the measure of his Gin, ha!

I was so very impressed with the speed and service of the DHL delivery, and the way that this box was packaged is fantastic. I mention further down about the fact it is all fully recyclable too. It is in a very large plain box, and has an Air Pac that protects all of the breakable items inside. This month it was taped up, and had their logo printed repeatedly all over the tape so I knew exactly what it was inside.

If you missed my live unboxing, you can watch it back on our Facebook Group, or by clicking play below on our YouTube Channel…

So how does it work?

The cost of this Subscription is just £40, the shipping is FREE! You can Cancel at any time. You can choose Monthly, Bi-Monthly, or Quarterly.

Here is what you will receive in each box:

  • 1 full size bottle of gin
  • 2 pairing tonics
  • Bonus botanicals
  • Sweet and savoury snack
  • G&T Club discovery cards

Whats more, they donate 5% of their profits annually to the Lemonaid+Charitea Foundation. You can read a little more about their reasons behind this here.

I applaud that upcoming Businesses are more ethically conscious. Even the packaging from this box is 100% recyclable, yes even that plastic Air pac bag!

So what is in the Box this Month?

Inginius Classic Tailored Tonic Water

I noticed that the colour of this is much darker than our usual Tonic Water. It is a really golden colour almost. This classic tonic even won 2 stars at the 2018 great taste awards!

Sacred Gin

Sacred Spirits were founded in 2008 by Londoner Ian Hart. This is made using vacuum distillation as opposed to a pot to preserve the richness. The ingredients are picked from Ian’s own Organic Library of botanicals!

The bottle has 2 of my favourite colours, Purple & Gold. It is really classy and would be sure to wow any friends or guests.

Joe & Seph’s Simply Sweet & Salty Popcorn

I have tried a few of the items from Joe & Seph’s. I remember when they first started out in fact. They were featured in lots of Beauty boxes! I have not tried these before as they are part of their new ‘Simply’ range. I do genuinely love popcorn, but Rob doesn’t like it. This is fine by me as I do not have to share.

Love Cocoa Honeycomb Crunch Milk Chocolate

I only have one gripe with this, it was too small! I could have eaten this 3 times over. My god it is delicious. Like little pieces of popping candy encased in chocolate. I am hoping that these will be for sale in supermarkets, I am going to be looking.

Lavender Botanicals

And here we have another addition to our growing collection.

Testing it out…

Well of course this is the most important part. This is a full flavoured drink when you marry the 2 together. You have all of the fruitiness from the gin and that crispness from the tonic. It is a real thirst quencher. Rob does already buy tonics like this as he prefers them. We have both never heard of either of these brands.

Our Verdict?

G&T Club continues to introduce us to new and exciting products, keeping our cupboards well stocked and we are loving all of the refreshing drinks, especially in the fab summer weather we are having.

If you are a Gin lover, or know someone who is, you would be insane not to sign up to this.

Links are below to order, don’t forget the 40% off code above! (BX22).
