I am very grateful, and lucky to be getting to unbox this box for the second month in a row! I will be honest and say that this is only the second time I have ever got this box but I am sure it will not be the last!
We have an ongoing collaboration with LIB for the next few months, which we are very grateful for. If you are not familiar with Latest In Beauty, they are a box for those who like to know what they are getting every month, as you get to choose your items. They also have limited edition collections with different brands and collections of their best sellers too!
The box came via royal mail, wrapped in an outer postage bag to protect the box inside.
This month’s theme was ‘Global Beauty Lookbook’.
If you missed my unboxing of this box, you can catch it here on our YouTube channel (and subscribe if you haven’t already!):
Onto the contents then! I chose 6 items for this box (I will discuss the different options and prices shortly) and tried to choose all cruelty free items too.
The first item may seem a little boring, but is something that I needed and is an essential in any make up bag. The Vintage Cosmetic Company Pencil Sharpener (RRP £4.95). I love the packaging of this company, it is so cute and quirky. This sharpener is pink, has a lid on it to catch the shavings and has 2 sharpener holes of different sizes for different pencils. I think this is adorable and is a welcome addition to my make up bag.
The second item is something I have been wanting to try for a while- a Tangle Teezer (RRP £8.50). This is pink, with yellow bristles. I have very long, thick hair and I do struggle to control it sometimes! This is really gentle on my hair when I use it- it doesn’t tug my hair like some brushes can. The packaging says it can be used on wet hair as well as dry hair. I am not sure if I will use it on wet hair, as I tend to use a wide tooth comb for that, but I am really loving using it on dry hair so far!
The third item is from a brand I am a huge fan of- Celtic Herbal and is their Honey and Lemon lip balm (RRP £4.00). I have a few products from this company and they are such good quality. I love the smell of this balm, and it is the perfect size to fit in your handbag. This makes my lips super soft and nourished, which is great for the summer where the sun can sometimes dry them out.
The fourth item is another brand I have used before- Green People Beauty Boost Skin Restore (RRP £21.00). I am a big fan of this brand but have never tried this product. I loved how this made my skin feel- soft, moisturised and nourished. I also love that this brand is natural!
The fifth item was from a brand I have a few items of- Sleek Matte Me Metallic lip cream (RRP £4.99). This shade is Molten Topaz and is a gorgeous metallic red/pink colour. I have not tried any of Sleeks lip products, but I love their eyeshadow palettes so I had high hopes for this. I love the pigmentation of this, and the fact that it stays pretty well for an item that costs under a fiver! It didn’t dry out my lips either.
The sixth and final item was a brand I have heard of but never tried- Murad Age Reform AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (RRP £38.00!). This is HUGE! I am so impressed with the size of this! It will last me ages. I am yet to try this, as I am still using up another cleanser and I don’t like to have more than one item open at a time, so I will look forward to giving this a try!
The total value of this box is £81.44! Amazing!
So with this box, you have 3 different options:
- Beauty Novice- 3 items £9 per month or £16 for a one off box.
- Beauty Enthusiast- 6 items £15 per month or £22 for a one off box.
- Beauty Guru- 9 items £18 per month or £25 for a one off box.
All boxes come with free postage and packaging. So for this box, I received the Beauty Enthusiast 6 item box, so my total saving is £59.44 for a one off box or £66.44 for a subscription!
This was my second Latest in Beauty box (I know!), but I love the concept- you know exactly what you are getting and will never be disappointed with it. There is a new item added every day at midnight so there is always loads to choose from and I had trouble only choosing 6! Once things go out of stock, they are gone, so you need to be fast! I also have to say how quickly it arrived after I had ordered too- a matter of days! There are definitely savings to be had here, as a couple of the items I chose were worth more than the box costs!
