Thank you so much to Estee at Masktime for sending me this box to review! It is one of my favourite boxes, having been a subscriber for a while prior to taking on this collaboration for Boxession! For those of you who are unfamiliar with MaskTime, they are a KBeauty Sheet Mask Subscription box. KBeauty is light years ahead of the rest when it comes to skincare, and their masks are second to none. I have never tried a KBeauty sheet mask I didn’t like! There are a couple of different options for subscriptions, which I will go through a little later.
For now, you can catch the video of my unboxing of this box on our YouTube channel now (and subscribe if you haven’t already!):
I love their revamped packaging- a cute baby pink colour with the words ‘You’ve got it glowing on’ written in white on the lid. I really like this- it’s fresh, clean and new. I couldn’t wait to get into it and find the goodies inside! Here is what I found on opening:
Look how cute it all is! That’s another thing about KBeauty- it always looks adorable! This months theme is ‘Healthy Skin Is Always in’- I totally agree!
The first mask this month was Cure Solution Aloe Mask (RRP £3.00). This is an eco friendly bio cellulose mask made from Aloe fibres. It aims to soothe irritated or blemish prone skin in a matter of minutes. It has Aloe Vera, known to reduce skin irritation and inflammation, Fermented Oat Extract which is an incredible anti-oxidant, moisturiser and anti aging ally and Seaweed Extract, which is packed with skin friendly vitamins and minerals to soothe, soften and reduce sensitivity. My skin can be quite sensitive, so I am very much looking forward to trying this one out!
The second mask was Nature Republic Real Nature Hydrogel Mask Muscat (RRP £3.00). This is a hydrogel mask formulated with green grape extract, or muscat, to help smooth out rough skin and balance the moisture content. It contains Grape Extract (obviously ha ha) to protect the skins structure of elastin and collagen as well as Grapefruit Extract, which is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal as well as helping to regulate the oil build up in the skin. I really liked this mask- my skin actually felt so much plumper and healthier after using this!
The third mask was SNP Blue Tension Hydra Lifting Mask (RRP £4.50). This is an ultra hydrating treatment mask with 2 steps. The dotted patches (top section of the sachet) are to be used on areas that need intense hydration such as under the eyes and smile lines. There are ear loops attached to the mask to help it stay on the face and provide an extra lifting effect. It contains Triple Hyaluronic Acid which all lock in water molecules and allow deep hydration as well as Seawater which is packed with healthy skin friendly minerals to absorb toxins in the skin, including acne causing bacteria. I loved using this, as the ear loops made the mask so much easier to wear. I wore it while I did some household tasks and when I took it off, my skin was super moisturised and stayed that way all day.
The fourth mask was Blithe Blue Zone Abalone Intensive Mask (RRP £5.50). This uses all natural ingredients (winner for me already!) to protect against ageing caused by exposure to pollution. It contains Abalone Extract, which is cruelty free and sustainable and helps to nourish and hydrate the skin, as well as Sea Collagen to promote, protect and accelerate collagen production. I am yet to use this, as I am saving it for my next pamper night!
The fifth mask was Easydew Daily Double Hydra Cream Mask (RRP £4.00). This is an ultra fine, but high performance sheet mask which delivers deep and lasting moisture to dull and flaky skin. The mask has a creamy texture which protects the skins surface from drying out to leave skin nice and plump. It contains EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) which helps to improve the appearance of wrinkles, hydrate the skin and prevent pigmentation to name just a few benefits! It also contains Amino Acid to maintain skins hydration, texture and resilience.
The sixth mask was VT Cica Mask Pack (RRP £3.50), which is a clinical grade, non woven fabric gauze mask that is perfect for sensitive skin. It adheres to the skin beautifully (it really does), soothing and calming irritated or blemish prone skin. It contains Centella Asiatica to help say goodbye to saggy skin by boosting collagen production, strengthening skin, improving circulation and elasticity. It contains Chamomile Extract to help fade scars, fight breakouts and is a powerful anti-oxidant.
The seventh mask was so interesting- unlike anything I have ever seen before! It is the Oozoo Fresh Capsule Mask Cocoon Silk (RRP £5.50). This mask is rich in firming properties, designed to hydrate and plump your complexion. It has a capsule on the front of the packaging, which you burst and apply to the skin, before applying the mask to help absorb the product into the skin. It has Silk Thread Extract, which is a protein rich in amino acids as well as Triple Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate the skin. I am so intrigued by this that I think this is next mask I will try!
The eighth mask was Missha Phyto- Chemical Skin Supplement Sheet Mask (RRP £3.50). This mask is perfect for combination skin that needs oil balancing. It contains 7 different essential nutrients to bring lacklustre skin back to its healthy state. It contains Phyto Chemicals from plants and vegetables such as carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. It also contains Chlorphyll from ingredients like broccoli, kale and spinach to provide a calming and detoxing effect on the skin. I don’t have combination skin, but I can get the occasional oily patch or breakout at certain times of the month (you know what I mean, ladies!), so I will save this for then!
The ninth mask (yep, we’re still going) was A’Pieu My Skin Fit Mask Baobab (RRP £3.00). This is a lyocell fabric mask is derived from natural wood for excellent absorbancy and non irritating texture. It contains Baobab Seed Oil improves elasticity, contains vitamins A,D, E and F to rejuvenate damaged cells and moisturise dry, parched skin. It also has Ginger Extract which has anti-ageing benefits and contains around 40 anti-oxidant properties! I loved this- super moisturising and helped my skin to feel so healthy and rejuvenated.
The tenth and final mask for this month was Wonderbath Super Vegitoks Mask (RRP £4.00). This helps to cleanse and clear the skin and is another multistep mask. This is perfect to take on holiday, as the top part of the sachet has a gel cleanser in it, which turn to white bubbles on contact with impurities. The mask contains Spirulina, which has vitamin E and selenium that are both powerful anti-ageing ingredients and Lime which treats acne and blemishes, lightens dark spots and naturally exfoliates the skin! I am saving this for a little trip I am planning, as it will be perfect to fit in my bag!
