Roccabox Review by Mel – May 2019

For any of you who watched my unboxing last month, or read my review, you will know that I am lucky enough to now be reviewing Roccabox every month! I am so excited about this I keep telling everyone and anyone. Spreading a little bit of box love around!

A huge personal Thank you to Tia and her team for entrusting me to do her box justice. In my opinion it does just that all by itself. I mean just look at this pretty box…

The inside of the lid has the quote ‘Sprinkle Kindness like Confetti’. We all need to remember to do that. The great thing about subscription boxes for me is that they are a treat to ourselves that we DO deserve. Roccabox is affordable, and will bring a smile to your face when delivered.

Speaking of delivery, this comes via Royal Mail, and is always covered in a durable pink mailing bag to protect it from the elements.

If you missed my unboxing, you can either watch it back on our Facebook Group or by clicking play below on our YouTube Channel…

How much does it cost?

A monthly recurring subscription costs just £10 plus £3.95 postage!

You can buy a 3, 6, or 12 month upfront too.

What is inside the box?

Box Total = £44.43!

That is over 4 times what you pay for the box!!

Time to test out some of the treats from this months edit…

Daily Concepts Charcoal Soap Sponge

This has to be my favourite item from this box! It is soap on one side and a scourer like sponge on the other side. Do not let this put you off, after one use it had already done wonders for all of my nasty dry skin. You can use this anywhere, I did use it on my face too. I will 100% be re buying this again. Would also be great for travelling as it is not a liquid.

Natural World Macadamia Ultra Nourishing Oil

I plan to take this on Holiday with me in 3 weeks time and use it after we have been doing lots of Swimming. I am almost sure I have used this particular product before but some time ago, and I liked it. Macadamia Oil has proven to have excellent benefits for hair.

Kierin NYC Nitro Noir Perfume

I wore this at work yesterday, I had never heard of the brand before. I thought it was really fresh smelling and great now that the hotter weather started to arrive.

T Zone Charcoal & Bamboo Peel Off Mask

I have not yet tried this, but my other half is a fan of these types of mask, so one of us will get around to using it. You can re purchase these in your local Superdrug.

Polaar Ice Source Hydrating Gely

This is my second favourite item. I love a gel moisturiser! I have combination skin and am prone to oiling just hours after applying my skincare. This has remained matte both days I have tried it. I also love the Polaar fragrance, I have noticed that this is similar across their range.

Douvall’s Argan Lip and Cheek Colour Oil

I love the packaging of this, I am a sucker for shiny things. I received ‘Tropical Island’ shade, which actually is not as bright a pink as the sticker suggests. It is really easy to apply with it being a squeezy tube, perfect to carry around in my bag and re apply throughout the day. This is a new brand discovery for me, I would happily try more of their products!

My Verdict?

I love that the theme this month is ‘Natural Beauty’. I am a fan of using Natural products and Cruelty Free too. The fact that I have discovered a couple of items I already want more of is great! If you are a member of the BoXession Group, you will know that you can swap or sell any unwanted items from Subscription boxes, so my eyes will be peeled, just in case!

I love affordable Beauty Boxes, and even more so when they are run by Small Business Owners. For just £10 a month, Roccabox is amazing value. You can still purchase this exact box, there is only one variation this month. I will be taking a month off in June due to our upcoming Holiday and House move, and will return to review Roccabox in July. Thank you for reading, the links are below to order…
