What I thought:
Each box comes beautifully packaged & sealed and contains a helpful booklet detailing what you have received, suggestions and recipes on how to use some of the items. I find this so helpful as many of the products are new to me, so it makes it so much easier to plan ahead and use as the recipes are readily available. This months box contains some exciting recipes that I used.
Bepps Black Eyed Pea Snack – Sweet Chilli Flavour
Delicious black eyed pea puff snacks in Sweet Chilli flavour. Vegan friendly and gluten free puffs naturally packed full of protein and fibre. A delicious and healthier alternative to traditional crisps and snacks, light and puffy with a great sweet chilli flavour!
Gluten free | Vegan | GMO Free
Benefit Vitamins Bar – Dark Chocolate
Enriched to give you 50% more of your daily vitamin intake. I am a dark chocolate addict, and this dark chocolate is too good to resist. This decadent bar has a lovely rich bitterness from the dark cocoa and is packed with 12 key vitamins, so you don’t feel too naughty eating it!
Gluten free | Vegan
Boca Cacao Cubes
BOCA cubes are unprocessed, unsweetened and made of carefully fermented and roasted 100% whole cacao beans, sourced from independent and sustainable community-run farms in South America. Rich, creamy and exceptionally indulgent, this may be the best hot cocoa I have ever tried! Has a slight nutty after taste which just adds to the flavour. Easy to make and I really love the colourful packaging too.
Gluten free | Vegan
Erbology Organic Aloe Vera Shot
A cleansing and alkalising shot, which helps keep your body balanced, hydrated and nourished. Containing only 2 ingredients and 6 calories it has a nice clean taste with a hint of sourness, not an unpleasant taste but tolerable. I thought it would have a gel like consistency but was surprised it was quite the opposite, like drinking juice. Aloe Vera is said to have many health benefits, so I see the appeal to it, not something I would drink daily but perhaps once a week or so.

Four Sigmatic Instant Superfood Drink x 2
Mushroom Coffee – As I don’t drink coffee this sachet was tried by my other half Darren. What he thought – Easy to mix and prepare but overall has an acquired taste and it does not measure up to the flavour of real fresh coffee. It has a strong herb smell which I didn’t particularly like so not something I would rush to try again.
Mushroom Hot Cacoa Mix – Easy to mix and prepare, I used almond milk to add some nuttiness to the flavour. Not overly sweet but has a delightful hint of cinnamon which goes well with the almond milk. Very enjoyable.

Geo Mitchell Bath Salts
A mineral rich combination of Epsom and Dead sea salts blended with pure essentials oils. On opening this box there was a beautiful fresh smell drifting out that was absolutely divine, so I was really looking forward to using these. An extremely soothing and relaxing experience and the smell is incredible, it contains eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary and peppermint essential oils for a fresh and floral aroma.

Naturya Organic Super Berry Super Bar
Delicious low sugar snack bar packed with protein, fibre and superfoods. Enriched with 9 superfoods and half the sugar of other bars this bar is still delicious. I love berries, and this contains several different berries which adds a lovely not too tart sweetness to this super bar. A yummy mid-morning snack or a little treat to enjoy on the go.
Gluten free |Vegan |Organic
I wasn’t sure how to use these spices but fortunately for me a recipe is provided in the LifeBox booklet. Now that summer is officially over, and the temperature is starting to drop the pumpkin bowl squash soup seemed perfect to make on a day like this. Containing a beautiful blend of herbs and spices that will tantalise your taste-buds! The seasoning added depth and flavour that is slightly spicy and warming. I really enjoyed the flavour this added to the soup, so I will definitely be checking out their full range of seasonings. Perfect for adding a new and exciting dimension to your favourite dishes, this versatile seasoning can be sprinkled on just about everything!!

Pukka Tea Bags x 3
Turmeric Gold – A golden organic blend of finest turmeric, lemon fruit and whole lead green tea. Pleasantly surprised as I wasn’t expecting this to actually taste nice but was prepared to try it just for the health benefits. A very soothing and warming cup of tea.
Wonder Berry Green – A sensuous organic wonder blend of purple berries, spices and whole leaf green tea. The flavour is subtle and fresh which balances out the green tea flavour. Not as sweet as a herbal fruit tea and not as bitter as a green tea. Really enjoyable and refreshing.
Elderberry & Echinacea – I like most of the Pukka tea range but this was not for me. The tea has a surprisingly strong taste which starts off warming and comforting but the strong liquorice aftertaste is not to my liking.

Remedy Kombucha – Ginger & Lemon
A live cultured kombucha made with ginger, lemon and all- natural sweetener. A familiar-yet-fresh take on a classic flavour combo. Kombucha has a pretty interesting taste at first, if you like fermented foods/drinks you’ll really enjoy this but if you don’t well it may take some getting used to but it’s definitely worth it. Kombucha is said to be beneficial to health; ease stomach aches, bloating and general digestive discomfort. Like kombucha, lemon is good for aiding the digestive track and ginger is a wonderful root that everyone turns to with stomach issues or relieving nausea. When all three ingredients are combined, you get a balanced taste of sweet, sour, tart and a slight zing all in one refreshing healthy drink!
Gluten free | Vegan |Organic
Seed & Bean Chocolate Bar – Orange & Thyme Chocolate
Seed & Bean’s sweet yet tangy orange flavour with a hint of Thyme works perfectly together, providing a more uplifting version of the classic chocolate/citrus combination. Made from The Dominican’s finest selected Trinitario cocoa. This is one of my ultimate favourite chocolate and fruit combinations! Although I should have used these in the dark chocolate and quinoa protein muffin recipe from the LifeBox booklet I was too eager to try these and ended up eating it all – opps! Beautiful smooth, bitter dark chocolate balanced with zesty orange and peppery Thyme to form an indulgent yet guilt free treat! My only wish is that the bar was bigger!

Squirrel Sisters – Cacao Brownie
Delicious raw snack bars made with 100% natural ingredients that are great tasting and full of goodness. Perfect for a snack on the go, a treat after dinner or a pre/post workout boost, however I personally think it is best enjoyed with a cup of tea. Melt in the mouth rich chocolatey deliciousness. Sometimes only something chocolatey will do and totally guilt free!!

Willy Chase’s Apple Cider Vinegar
Made purely from their 300-year-old untouched apple orchards – a humble home to 48 varieties of apples. Aside from being a fantastic cooking ingredient, it is often referred to as ‘The Mother of all-natural remedies’ thanks to its acclaimed health benefits, many of which are supported by science. This includes weight loss, reduced cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels and improved symptoms of diabetes. This is a product I have actually tried before; the taste is one that you would need to get used to but once you do it isn’t too bad. The taste is pretty strong but bearable, I have 2 teaspoons in a glass of warm water with the juice of half a lemon and a squeeze of honey to add a little sweetness to the acid.

Potion London Vitamin Supplement – The Beauty Formula
Promote beauty from within with this supplement, specially formulated to support healthy hair, skin and nails. The Beauty Formula contains the optimum balance of 19 vitamins and minerals – developed specifically to promote clear and healthy skin, strong nails and beautiful, lustrous hair. After using for a week, I do feel like my nails are starting to feel and look better although it’s still early to say if it’s made a difference with my hair or skin. These supplements are once daily doses which is great for compliance and don’t taste ghastly like most supplements do!

Packed with 14 amazing products, this has to be my favourite box to date. Howard has also kindly sent me the LifeBox hoody that I wore during my live unboxing and I have pretty much worn it every day since as it’s really comfy. What makes this box stand out from the crowd, is the mixture of ingredients and products that are thoughtfully curated and how they change each month. My favourite thing about LifeBox is that it gives everybody the chance to experiment with new superfoods and ingredients in the kitchen and they also provide helpful recipes to use alongside them should you wish to. This box is ideal if you’re embarking on a vegan or gluten free diet and are still trying to get your head around what you can eat as LifeBox do all the research, so you don’t have to!
