CC Beauty Review by Rachel – November 2017

Firstly I’d like to thank CC Beauty for letting me review this box. This box is one I normally subscribe to, so getting a chance to review this properly for the first time was exciting!
You can watch my unboxing here…

Each month you receive 4 high end items, from make up to skin care.
CC beauty never disappoints and this is why it is one of my favourites.

You can choose to receive a one off box, a 3 month or 6 month subscription. For all new subscribers you can receive 20% off your first box using the discount code “1stbox20off”.

You can purchase the box from:

This months box contained a bit of an “all in one” theme and you can use all of these items to create a full makeup look.

The items included this month are:

Fenty Foundation – rrp £26
Okay, this was one of the most talked items from this months box. It is in shade 170 which is described as being for light skin with cool undertones. My first impression when using this product was that it had a thin consistency. This was not to be taken as a negative though as this goes on with a medium coverage straight away and is buildable if you require a full coverage look. Once applied, it left a matte finish which certainly feels different to my normal dewy finish. The foundation was long wearing, however I feel this highlighted the dry areas on my face. This therefore makes me recommend it is best suited to normal to oily skin.
Too Faced la matte – rrp £22
Troublemaker – this sounds promising. The shade looked intimidating to begin with however anyone who knows me, knows I love pink so I was not going to bypass trying this bright fuscia colour. This is the first time I have used a Too Faced lipstick and I am impressed. On applying it glided over my lips leaving a creamy matte finish and was very long wearing. The amount of compliments from people when going to the shops was astounding! Thank you CC Beauty, I LOVE this item!!
Velvet 59 My Fair Lashes – rrp £18
I absolutely love the packaging for this mascara. It looks luxurious with the pale teal and silver combination. On opening the wand and looking at the brush there are many benefits. On one side the bristles are long and thin – this helps with lengthening the lashes. On the other, the bristles are short and full which added volume to my lashes. There is a cute semi-circle at the end of the wand which helped me get to the hard to reach, small lashes. All in, it’s a win win situation – who doesn’t want long voluminous lashes?!?!
Trish McEvoy perfume sample
I am unsure of the pricing of this item as there is no information on the bottle and there was no packaging for this. This fragrance is sweet and fresh and I would certainly recommend this for both day and nighttime wear. If I was sure on what exact fragrance this is, I would definitey purchase this due to the diverse wearability. I am disappointed as I would have like to see the packaging of this as it would also make a great gift for friends and family members.
360 – Perry Ellis perfume sample edt 1.52ml – £35 for 100ml
Crisp and floral tones, this perfume would be ideal as a fresh summer scent. This would be best suited in the evening as it is an extremely powerful scent. Unfortunately this is not a scent for me, however I would not hesitate to gift this.
These perfume samples would be great as a stocking filler as they are small in size.

The total value of this months box is approximately £66.47 and only paying £29.99 for this means a great saving of £36.48!!! Great value for money.

My box arrived via myHermes and I was kept up to date on the progress of this via email. I got given a tracking number which allowed me to check the progression of delivery and make sure I was in the house to receive this. It come within a large cardboard box with plenty packaging to prevent any damage to the box and products and is also recyclable (save the environment!).
I would recommend people to purchase this as it’s definitely great value for money. I really enjoy receiving this box as it is all high end products which I haven’t used before.
