Ink drops selection are a monthly subscription where you receive a surprise selection of stationery products; I am an avid crafter and also a lover of stationery. The selection itself was packaged well in a small cardboard envelope box which was labelled well and then also all contained in a yellow paper bag sealed with washi tape inside the box. It was delivered by Royal Mail; and I received it very quickly, a lot quicker than I expected so it was a nice surprise when I collected it as I was not expecting it so quick.
The monthly subscription costs £15.45 including p&p, they ship on the 14th of each month and the cut off date is the 7th of each month for that month’s selection. If you visit the website www.inkdrops.co.uk you can also purchase a range of one off selections that cater different needs and budgets such as back to school, London love and get bulleting (my favourite).
First of all I would like to say a massive thank you to Anastasia and Carla for generously sending this super lovely box to me to review. I am a self confessed addict when it comes to cute stationery so this box was really appreciated and got me very excited while waiting for it.

The first item I fell in with was the “ice cream cool sticky notes” basically a block of sticky notes in the shape of a rocket ice lolly, these are super cute, super handy and look fab on my bedside table, every parcel I post is defiantly going to contain a thank you note on one of these, my fridge door is already sporting about 10 of them and the gas meter man received my meter readings on one also, I may be a little too impressed with these. They also come in the shape of a fab ice-lolly that I think I may need to purchase also.
The next item I pulled out of my parcel was a very cute A4 notebook in the shape of a stamp, it’s a portrait opening spiral bound notebook with pages of brown craft paper, the cover contains a very delicate pink floral image that has been glitter embossed, it’s very vintage looking and personally I think it would make a very cute mini scrapbook and would be totally wasted as an average notebook. I don’t plan on wasting a single page on notes, I am saving for a special event and I am going to fill it with pretty photos and cute embellishments that it is worthy of.
Being a crafter I really appreciate cute gift tags as they have so many uses…. Obviously as a gift tag, a thank you note for a purchase, a card topper, a short description next to a photo on a scrapbook page, page markers… the list goes on. So I was really happy to receive a pack of gift tags in my selection, again they are quite vintage looking and have a “love and dreams” theme. They also come with string to tie to them if needed which is actually really nice quality black rope with a glossy finish, this “ties” in perfectly with the font colour of the tags. (Sorry I could not resist a crap pun) the pack contains 2 designs and contains 10 of each design. The first design is a printed collage of words in different sizes and fonts all relating to the “love and dreams” theme, the second design is the word love arranged in large font to form a square. They are made by heaven sends and truly are a gift from heaven, so versatile and a design almost anyone will love.
I also received two very cute notecards in my august ink drops selection, the first is a very cute lovable image of a llama holding a delicious looking ice cream and sporting a very summery looking rug on its back, it contains the caption “have a nice day”. I am sure this will cheer up whoever I decide to send it to and bring a smile to their face, it is blank inside so you can add your own little cheery message for the receiver of this very lovely little notecard. The second one is my favourite though and is now in a small clip frame in my bathroom, it I’d a printed image of a ship in navy blue and cream with a foiled gold sun as the backdrop, it is very smart and clean looking and the gold and navy look amazing on the cream card. Below the ships image it creatures the text “ahoy there” and each letter is encased in individual swirls to make a very clever impression of waves. I adore this notecard and will defiantly not be sending to anyone. The image is perfect and very well thought out.
Overall I loved this selection, I know stationery is not everyone’s cup of tea but I would recommend it to anyone who loves quality stationery items. Each item was of a very high standard, nothing felt cheap, it all looked good quality and had a really high standard feel it to it. You can really see and appreciate that each item has been thoroughly thought out before being added to the selection, I will always appreciate quality over quantity in a subscription box and this is what this box gives you.
