MaskTime Glow Setter Review by Gemma – March 2019

Thank you so much to Estee at Masktime for sending me this box to review! It is one of my favourite boxes, having been a subscriber for a while prior to taking on this collaboration for Boxession! For those of you who are unfamiliar with MaskTime, they are a KBeauty Sheet Mask Subscription box. KBeauty is light years ahead of the rest when it comes to skincare, and their masks are second to none. I have never tried a KBeauty sheet mask I didn’t like!  There are a couple of different options for subscriptions, which I will go through a little later.

For now, you can catch the video of my unboxing of this box on our YouTube channel now (and subscribe if you haven’t already!):

They have revamped their packaging this month- a cute baby pink colour with the words ‘You’ve got it glowing on’ written in white on the lid. I really like this- it’s fresh, clean and new. I couldn’t wait to get into it and find the goodies inside! Here is what I found on opening:

Look how cute it all is! That’s another thing about KBeauty- it always looks adorable! There is definitely a spring floral feel, with the theme being ‘Stop and Smell the Roses’- perfect for this time of year!

The first mask I took out of the box was by Nature Republic and was the Real Nature Mask Sheet Rose (RRP £3.00). The packaging for this caught my eye, so I decided to use this first! It is formulated with rose extracts to hydrate and revitalise skin. It is blended with glycerine and sodium hyaluronate, which helps to lock in moisture to leave skin soft, smooth, soothed and revived. I was so impressed with how amazing this made my skin feel! Using a sheet mask is always a pampering and relaxing experience for me, and I especially enjoy the results afterwards! This does exactly what it promises; it left my skin so soft and radiant! I am definitely a fan!

The second mask was from A’Pieu and was Cicative Calcium Sheet Mask (RRP £3.00). Calcium is known for its moisturising properties and it’s soothing nature on sensitive skin. This mask then, is perfect for skin that is easily irritated or prone to redness. It contains the holy grail for sensitive skin- Aloe Vera leaf extracts and mineral water to sooth, heal and nourish the skin. I think this would be perfect to take on a plane or holiday to use after a long flight or day in the sun. I am hoping to get on a little trip away soon, so I will save this for then!

The third mask was by a brand I have used before, It’s Skin and was Rose Face Mask Sheet (RRP £3.00). This is made with fresh, natural ingredients (which are my favourite!). It contains Ginger extract to revitalise and liquorice root, which helps stressed out skin and diminishes dark spots. My skin is quite prone to being affected by stress and outside factors such as the weather and pollution, so this mask was an intriguing prospect for me. I used it after a particularly hard day at work and my skin felt instantly soothed and nourished, which was so relaxing.

The fourth mask was by The Saem and was Secret Pure Rosy Lips Gel Patch (RRP £4). I have been dying to try one of these for ages, how did they know? This is a rose scented hydrogel lip patch, which contains Vitamin C, damask rosewater and rose oil, which moisturise and plump lips to leave them feeling silky smooth and super kissable! They look hilarious whilst on- think over excessive lip fillers ha ha. However, I loved the effect afterwards! I do suffer from the occasional cold sore, which can be brought on when my lips are overly chapped, so I am hoping that this will help to prevent a flare up by keeping my lips soft and soothed! Another repurchase for me!

The fifth mask was by Labiotte and was Chateau Wine Hyaluronic Acid Mask (RRP £4). This mask contains French wine extract, which smooths and revitalises skin, as well as hyaluronic acid which balances water content to help your skin retain moisture. I love anything with HA, as I find it really suits my skin and keeps it in amazing condition. I loved this mask, my skin was so soft after using this and it was still soft for days after! Thumbs up from me!

The sixth mask was by NOHJ and was Botanical Fit Honey Sheet Mask Rose (RRP £3.50). I loved the packaging of this mask, and anything with honey in is a winner for me! It contains rose extract, which is a gentle antiseptic, which helps to clean impurities from the surface of the skin, as well as being an anti-inflammatory to reduce irritation. The honey extracts deeply nourish the skin, leaving it moisturised and refreshed. I cannot wait to try this mask- I think it is the next one on my list!

The seventh mask was another from It’s Skin- Secret Solution Wedding Dress Mask Sheet (RRP £5.00). This mask is pink in colour (I know!) and it has a milky essence to the mask, which contains a multitude of ingredients to help brighten dull and tired skin! Cabbage rose extract, Madonna lily extract, Jasmine extract, Rice extract, Argan Oil and Aloe are all found within this amazing mask to leave the skin fresh and baby soft! I think I will save this mask for a special occasion (like a wedding!).

The eighth mask is again by A’Pieu and is My Skin Fit Sheet Mask Rose (RRP £3.00). This contains rose flower extract and chamomile extract to provide intense hydration and soothing properties. It is great for sensitive skin, as it contains no irritants and above all else, it fits the face so well! A lot of sheet masks can be quite a bad fit on the face, sliding off or not covering it all, but no such issue with this! That means that the amazing benefits from this mask can be fully felt by the skin without having to readjust every 30 seconds!

The ninth and final mask is again by The Saem and is Secret Pure Rosy Eye Warm Mask (RRP £4.00). This mask reminds me of a very well-known and sought after mask on the Boxession group, so I was very excited to see how this compares! This is a warming eye mask that helps you to de-stress and relieve dry and tired eyes. They have a gentle and soothing rose scent and provide 15-20 minutes of relaxing warmth to the eyes, which is such a great way to have some me time and unwind after a long day. I used this in bed and it was so relaxing that I was asleep within minutes! I had one of the best night’s sleep in ages after using this. I would definitely say it is just as good as the leading competitor!

So, that is all the masks for this month’s Glowsetter, and a quick total of the prices brings this boxes overall value to £29.50. So, how much are you saving with this box?

The Prices.

This box has 2 options monthly.

The Glowstarter box (see my separate review for the contents!)  is more of an introduction to Kbeauty sheet masks and is an extremely affordable £9.95 per month, with free shipping. This has 4 masks a month.

The Glowsetter box is £24.99 per month, again with free shipping. This has between 8-10 masks and is for the mask addicts amongst us (raise your hand, I won’t judge!). So a total saving of £4.51.

Both boxes are shipped on the 2nd of the month and you can cancel anytime. It is billed monthly and there are no cancellation fees or hidden costs. The last day to order this box is the last day of the month.

But wait, there’s more!

We have an exclusive discount code! BOXESSIONX gives you a whopping 15% off your first box!

My verdict.

I could not love this box more if I tried. The chance to pamper, have some time for yourself and recharge with some high quality KBeauty sheet masks that suit the time of year perfectly! I sometimes struggle to know what my skin needs month to month but for some reason, Masktime knows! I am a mask addict, and this box fulfils all my needs and more. Who doesn’t want some well-deserved pamper time?
