Lootaku Review by Jasmine – January 2019

Hello everyone and welcome to my first review of 2019! I am so happy that my first box of 2019 is the amazing Lootaku, as always I just want to start off my review by saying a massive thank you to Alvin and the team at Lootaku for sending me these amazing boxes full of collectables as well as exclusive products. This is my 4th review for Lootaku and I couldn’t be happier.

The December 2018 theme is…

My Hero Academia & Tokyo Ghoul

If you haven’t watched either of these then I suggest you start now.

So let’s talk a little bit about Lootaku, Lootaku is always overflowing with authentic high-quality Geek/Gamer/Anime Collectables. Lootaku is a subscription box from Asia that will make fans of all ages feel like a child again, and in the box you will receive 4-6 high-quality products with a total RRP value of around $80 (£62.50 in pounds – converted on the 11th of January 2019 (please remember that the value will change depending on products).

For those of you who have read my previous reviews you can skip straight to my live unboxing below then read the rest of my review, but if you are new to BoXession or maybe just new to reading my Lootaku reviews then don’t fret you can read my previous reviews here:

Full Metal Alchemist

Dragon Ball Z   ドラゴンボールZ(ゼット)

One Piece Vs Naruto

My Hero Academia

Previous box themes I haven’t had the pleasure of reviewing include Street Fighter, Harry Potter, Pokémon, DC Universe & Game Of Thrones. You can buy previous boxes, special boxes, premium figures & Ichiban Kuji Japanese Anime Box from their online store. The Lootaku box you received may include plushies, collectable authentic Figure Statues, wearable collectable gear, POP figures, key chains, pin badges, cards, stamps, cups & many more possible products.

So before I start talking about prices and I make you jealous by showing you some close up detailed photographs of what I received, watch my live unboxing on our YouTube channel below…

Lootaku arrives in a very large cardboard box that looks like a rectangle treasure chest that always has me feeling excited like a child. I just couldn’t wait to see what I had received this month, especially with the past three months content being so outstanding I find it hard to believe they could top them. I must say though I absolutely love the box design as well as the hidden saying on the bottom “ THE ONE WHO FINDS THIS CHEST SHALL BE GRANTED TREASURES OF UNIMAGINABLE VALUE” which is absolutely true! Every box is overflowing with a treasure of unimaginable value so I love all the small details on this box as it shows how much thought and time went into every aspect of this box from products to the wood detail on the chest/box.

If you live in the UK like me Lootaku will be sent via E-Express that should arrive in 7- 14 days (this delivery includes tracking for your peace of mind) & costs $17.66 that converted is £13.73 (yes delivery is a bit pricy but the delivery & subscription price is definitely worth it as you get almost double that in authentic High-Quality Products).

Now let’s take a look at what I received & the RRP

Box Content, Product Information & My thoughts

Tokyo Ghoul Duffel Bag LOOTAKU EXCLUSIVE worth $25 USD or £19.44 GBP

How amazing is this product? The bag has a detachable shoulder strap and the size makes it perfect for carrying gym essentials, use as an overnight bag or maybe hold all your child’s essentials. I have personally started to fill mine with essentials in case I need to go in overnight or stay longer at the hospital as I suffer from severe asthma that has been playing up really bad as of late so this will be perfect to grab and go. I love the colour contrast of the black bag and red print design.

My Hero Academia Amazing Heroes Vol. 1 Izuku Midoriya worth $30 USD or £23.34 GBP

We are completely spoiled yet again as this amazing Banpresto figure isn’t due to be released until February 2019. As always with the Banpresto figures I absolutely love all of the tiny details as well as colours, the pose of him being mid-air during a fight just completely brings him to life.

Tokyo Ghoul Keneki Scarf $12 USD or £9.34 GBP

The scarf is long and thick perfect for the cold weather also with it being soft I know I will use it loads as I hate scarfs that are too thick or made from scratchy material also I really like the design.

My Hero Academia- One For All LOOTAKU EXCLUSIVE Lenticular Print worth $18 USD or £14.00 GBP

This print is so cool it has 3 images that actually are massive spoilers so if you haven’t watched this anime you really need to start. I like how detailed this print is along with the chosen text I will get a cool frame for it.

Tokyo Ghoul Touka Krishima Limited Edition Pin (500) worth $12 or £9.34

This Pin is a Lootaku exclusive is a Limited Collection of 500 I received 93/500 and again I think this is a really good-sized pin. As always with the Lootaku pins/badges, I love the details, colours as well as the light/shading and overall passion that has gone into creating this.

My Verdict?

I look forward to receiving the Lootaku every month as it suits me perfectly and this month was no different. I also love the practical usefulness of the products I receive whether it be t-shirts, bags, umbrella, scarfs and so on. I definitely think this box is worth the price tag. This months edition was really good and I am so excited for the next one as I would happily unbox a million Lootaku boxes.

Thank you for taking the time to read my reviews of the outstanding Lootaku.
