The cake tasting club creations were whispering sweet nothings to me all the way from The Cake Tasting Clubs HQ kitchen that has 5 stars for cleanliness, the photographs they have on their website as well as their social channels were so visually appealing my stomach growled. All the products are baked by hand in The Cake Tasting Club HQ kitchen and as I said above & in my live they have a 5* cleanliness rating. I want to say a massive thank you to Dom & Vikki for sending me this box to unbox as well as review, it has been fun.
The Cake Tasting Club use traditional family recipes that have been handed down for that perfect taste. The box is letterbox friendly so no waiting at home on the postman.
Please remember this review is my own personal opinion from my taste palette so even if I wasn’t blown away with the taste of something you may be, or I may be blown away and you won’t as everyone has their own tastes.

So, let’s look at the box I received
The Classic Box
This box slid through my letter box straight into my home so no weird interaction with the postman was needed. Once opened I was greeted by some confetti and a card from Dom & Vikki, so I was very touched and the beautiful black paper with the logo printed sticker just made it all perfect.
Raspberry and White Chocolate Cake
The cake is visually stunning and tastes like birthday cake and the icing reminds my partner and I of baking with our parents as the icing tastes a bit like cake mix in a bowl. The cake was just perfect, not too dry or sweet.
Salted Caramel Pretzel Brownie
This brownie had got all my hopes up but personally I felt like it was missing something. The brownie was gooey and had a slight salty taste to it, but I couldn’t taste the caramel and my pretzel had lost it’s crunch. I think It would be best eaten with a good cuppa
The blueberry brownie was very gooey and nice when paired with a cold refreshing class of milk. I advise maybe cutting into smaller portions.
Lemon, Elderflower and White Chocolate Shortbread
These four shortbread rounds are worth the £15 all by themselves, I did not share these as I just couldn’t part with them nor stop eating them. These are a dangerous sweet treat especially as the person who made them has perfected the recipe and time of baking. The shortbread was crumbling, just literally falling apart making my mouth water. The taste reminds me of lemon meringue pie so sweet with a hint of lemon just the perfect summer biscuit.
My Final Verdict
I loved this box especially sharing with my hubby to be and our two-year-old daughter Ariana-Joy. I think it’s the perfect gift or great for if you have a monthly afternoon tea with family/friends. I would buy this, and I am so excited to make my own shortbread using the recipe card.
Thank you for reading my review
