Sunshine Stationery Box Review by Mel – June 2018

I have bought a few boxes from Sunshine Stationery now, so when Madeline asked me to review their May box, and I couldn’t as I was off on holiday to Greece, I was really happy when she contacted me again to see if I would review their June box. Of course I obliged, especially since I did see a sneak at the June Surprise box theme on their Instagram and it was Ice Cream! I then did not look at all, I do like the element of surprise and a live unboxing where I genuinely do not know the contents so you all can see my honest reaction.

The box arrived via Royal Mail. It is letterbox friendly, but my postie knocked on. She likely saw the pretty yellow box, with ‘Happy Mail’ and Ice cream stickers, and didn’t want to damage it pushing it through my door.

If you missed my live unboxing, you can watch it back on our Facebook group, or click play below to watch it on our YouTube Channel…

So what was inside this lovely bright box?

  • ‘All you need is Ice Cream and Mascara’ Makeup Bag
  • Hand Made Acrylic Ice Cream Necklace by gemmipop designs. Check out her website  here
  • Astronaut Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 4 coloured Ice Cream spoons
  • 2 Ice Cream laminated notecards
  • 6 Ice cream stickers
  • A sheet of Ice Cream & Donut stickers
  • 2 blank Ice Cream greeting cards
  • ‘Never Settle for just one Scoop’ laminated pin board card

Can you even believe that all of this fit into that slim yellow box. I am so impressed, it is crammed, using every possible area of space!

How much does it cost?

There are 2 options here:

  • Monthly at £12 plus £2.90 p&p
  • 3 Monthly upfront at £36, FREE postage

BUT… we have an even BETTER offer! Thank you to Madeline for the exclusive discount code which is ‘BOX20’. This will get you a 3 month subscription for £28.80 and FREE Postage!

That makes it £9.33 per box!! A total bargain!

So lets talk about my thoughts for this box…

My favourite 2 items have to be the Makeup Bag and the Necklace. I am a huge fan of anything quirky and well into my 50s style dress. These fit into my collection of cute items perfectly. I have been checking out gemmipop designs on Etsy, I have linked above. She has some seriously lovely items and well worth a look.

Joel (age 10) was well impressed with the Astronaut Ice Cream Sandwich. It looks like a massive oreo. I didn’t get chance to photograph it, he was munching his way through it as soon as I said it was for him. I have never seen anything like this before, I love the way all of the items are so thought out to fit the theme for the boxes perfectly.

Archie (age 3) has an obsession with Ice Cream since we returned from holiday. You could get them all inclusive at our Hotel, so he has been constantly asking me for them since we got home. I made him a bowl last night and gave him the little scoop to use. These actually are really handy for me and a welcome addition to the box.

The notecards and stickers are all handmade I believe, and come in a lovely little paper bag. It is like opening little presents when things are wrapped up like that. Something I am a fan of.

The blank greetings cards as mentioned in my video, I think I will use for my boys teachers at the end of term. They will make lovely thank you cards.

My Verdict?

This box is just crammed full of cuteness. I love how although it has stationery items, it is not too geared towards that. It has useful items, lifestyle items, and really has quite a broad age range for those it would be suitable for. I know that my almost 13 year old sister would really enjoy all of the items in this box too.

The pricing of it is unbelievable when you consider the time, effort and thought that has gone into it. £28.80 gets you the next 3 months of these, delivered through your door. I think people would be mad not to take advantage of that. Even if some of the items are not suited to you, there are so many multi uses for them. Things like gift wrapping or even crafting or card making?

You are supporting one lady, and not a massive company. That in itself is a big thing for me. Supporting small businesses is something I actively promote on the group.

The links are below to the Website and Social media handles. I have bought themed boxes in the past, for myself and for my son. I can highly recommend that these will be made to suit you, and the service you will get is second to none. So check out other options too, and give them a quick follow on Facebook and Instagram. Share the love!

Thank you for reading ladies…
