With Love Beauty Box Review By Nazia – May 2018

Thank you to the lovely Charlotte for allowing me the pleasure of reviewing this box! With Love Beauty is a monthly beauty and lifestyle box, where every month five items will be delivered straight to your door. One of the amazing things about this box is for every single box that is purchased, they are helping women and children across the UK. They do this by sending 5 beauty, hygiene and food products to women’s and children’s charities every time a box is sold.

If you missed out on my live unboxing on the group, you can catch it here:

How it works

With Love Beauty isn’t like other monthly boxes – they have a few differences. Firstly, there is no monthly subscription meaning that you won’t get charged for any months where you don’t want a box. As there is no subscription that means there’s no fussing around with cancellation policies either. The box is also fully customisable, so you get to choose what you do or don’t want, and you will never receive an item from a category of products you don’t use.

How much is it?

**Each box is £14.99, this includes free postage and packaging too! **

What I Thought

Joe & Seph’s Salted Caramel Gourmet Popcorn

OH-EM-GEE! Joe & Seph’s popcorn flavours never disappoint they are always full of flavour, absolutely delicious and melt-in-the-mouth! The caramel is smooth and sticky but not too sweet and with the slight hint of salt goes perfectly hand in hand together. Fluffy on the inside and crispy and sweet on the outside, they’re seriously tasty and addictive – it’s very easy to eat a whole pack in one go and I am so pleased to have received this in my box!

The Sanctuary Spa Exfoliating Foot Wipes

Each pack contains 20 wipes purifying the skin with antibacterial tea tree and calming lavender essential oils to rejuvenate and smooth tired skin. I work full time and spend most of my day on my feet and I must admit I don’t take as much care of my feet as I should, so this is a great excuse to look after my tootsies. They are thicker than your normal face wipes and in my opinion sort of resemble a j-cloth. The wipes smell wonderfully fresh and when using I felt like it was certainly pampering my tired worn feet. Your feet will be left smooth, refreshed and stimulated after using!

Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel (Dark Brown)

I mentioned in my unboxing that I don’t experiment much with eyebrow products I usually stick to what I know, which are eyebrow pencils as I find them quick, effective and easy to use. I love trying new products, so this was a good pick for me as I get a feel of whether this product is suited to me or not. On first application I found it thick, wet and messy and I was very dissatisfied on how my brows looked. After wiping off and reapplying I put less product on the brush and this seemed to glide on much better. The wetness I mentioned doesn’t last long as it dries quickly, and leaves a natural finish that’s not drying, heavy or stiff. The colour is also buildable, so you can layer it to give you your desired brow look. Overall not as bad as I first thought, I received the dark brown shade which matched well with my brows and once dry the product stayed on all day and doesn’t budge. Although the brush is way too big and holds too much product making the application somewhat messy, I will certainly try using it again.

Maybelline The Colossal Kajal Eyeliner (Black)

In my opinion eyeliner features too heavily in sub boxes, I also own way too many so this would not have been something that I’d chosen myself. However, my scepticism may have been misplaced as I really liked this eyeliner. The liner is a jet-black colour and is extremely durable and long lasting. I find that nearly all the eyeliners I have used in the past need constant touch ups, but I had no such issue with this liner! So, it’s safe to say that I was quite impressed. It is also the twist up kind so no messing around looking for sharpeners.

Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer (Medium)

This was the item I was most excited to try, I have used too faced products and always find them to be good quality, but the concealer was one I hadn’t used before. I think I may have found my new favourite concealer!! It has great coverage and blends very well, I had the shade medium which was great for using under the eyes to hide my very noticeable bags! It has a light feel while fully covering anything you need corrected/covered, long lasting and left my skin looking smooth and refreshed. A little also goes a long way!

Overall views

There are two main things that I love about this box, the first being the incredible value this box is and the second that all the products are full size – that’s right no silly little samples found in this box! In recent months the usual sub boxes have been major disappointments (remember the shockingly miniscule highlighter in a well-known big company beauty box?!) I’ve seen complaints from subscribers who are excited to open their box to find that none of the items match their beauty profile. This has happened to me several times and it really does leave a sour taste in your mouth when you see other people open boxes you would have much preferred instead! I really feel With Love Beauty can swoop in and take the top spot for best affordable beauty box for many reasons. Primarily you can customise your box and choose categories of items you’d like to receive. You email them your preference and if you say you don’t want something they will never send it to you. As I’ve already stated above, all items are full size which in my eyes is a winner, again not many box companies can say they send full sized products. The only criticism I have is the box itself, when it arrived I had no idea who it was from. I’m not overly fussed about fancy packaging, but I think it would really benefit with something like the logo of the company on the box, a sticker with the logo or even a card inserted in the box to add that little personal touch to welcome customers to their beauty box. This box is worth keeping your eye on as it will give those other big company boxes a run for their money –  If you haven’t already ordered a box you should as you won’t regret it.
