I’m so excited to be reviewing The Lifestyle Box, sent to me by the lovely Melanie and Marie. I’ve watched with intrigue and interest since this box was first released, mainly because it’s a box after my own heart. Previous months, February and March, have been both beautiful in colour and contents. The ethos behind this brand is also one which I admire – supporting independent brands by featuring them in their box. The subscription box market is ever growing, supporting smaller brands is just as important as well known high street brands. Truth be told, there can be some amazing finds!

What is The Lifestyle Box?
The Lifestyle Box is a monthly subscription box for busy women – be you single, married, parent or carer. Products range from beauty and skincare to chocolate and candles. In fact, I don’t think you could really second guess the contents as each month is carefully curated flawlessly! Containing 4 surprise items, this box is intended to be used for quality ‘me time’, something all of us busy ladies forget regularly.
How much will I pay?
There are currently 3 subscription options, with the opportunity to purchase a ‘one off’ box if required. Pricing is as follows:
- Monthly– recurring payment of £20 plus £3.50 p&p
- 3 Months – one off payment of £60 free delivery providing saving of £10.50
- 6 Months – one off payment of £120 free delivery providing saving of £21
To purchase a ‘one off’ box you would pay £28, inclusive of postage and packaging. This is the perfect option for a gift or if curious but not ready to commit to a subscription just yet.
When will it arrive?
The Lifestyle Box currently provide 2 deliveries per month, fantastic for those of us who are impatient and need a ‘pick me up’ as soon as possible!
If you subscribe between the 17thand the 9thof the following month, your box will be shipped on or around the 10thof the month. For example, if you subscribed on the 25thMarch your box would be shipped on the 10thApril.
If you subscribe between the 10thand the 16thof the month, your box will be shipped on or around the 18thof the month. For example, if you subscribed on the 13thMarch your box would be shipped on the 18thof March.
This months theme is titled ‘Keep Calm’, quite apt given it’s been the Easter holidays and children have been at home bustling under our feet! This box looks and feels luxurious, from the sleek box to the inner packaging…
- Positivitea Imagine – White Tea, Elderflower & Blueberry with Eyebright
(12 biodegradable bags) RRP £5.50
With the running theme being that of calmness and tranquility, this beautifully selected tea is very much fitting. The balancing of the bodies’ chakras is believed to enable us to live a balanced and positive life – positivity breeds positivity after all. This particular tea is for balancing the third eye chakra, used for the eyes and imagination. Intuition is said to be gained from a balanced third eye, very much in tune with meditation and this month’s theme. This tea not only looks beautiful but tastes it too. The floral notes of elderflower are complemented by the fruitier notes of blueberry, a new addition to my tea cupboard!
- The Crystal Company – ‘For Calm’ Crystal Bath Bomb
RRP Approx £4
Looks can be deceiving! This isn’t just your average bath bomb; a lot of thought has gone into the fact this product is featured this month. Gently fragranced, relaxing and calming scents are released when added to the bath. However, that isn’t what is most important about this beautiful addition. The hidden surprise in the centre of this bath bomb is a blue lace agate crystal, known for promoting protection and providing soothing energies. This beautiful crystal can be placed underneath a pillow at bedtime to aid healing of head colds, although I’m a migraine sufferer so shall be popping under my pillow to see if this helps aid them in any way.
- Bloomtown Botanicals – The Spring Sugar Scrub (68g)
Clean, simple packaging let’s this product speak for itself. Unscented and cruelty free, amongst other attributes, this gentle sugar scrub is also ideal for sensitive skin. Sweet almond and shea butter ensures skin is left feeling exfoliated whilst still soft and moisturised. I like the fact British produce has been used, supporting local companies is important for business. Additionally, the use of blue clay for its soothing properties is a good choice given its current popularity in skincare of late. The colour of this product even fits well with this month’s theme – one of the better sugar scrubs available on the market in my opinion.
- One Mama One Shed – Hand Stamped Vintage Tea Spoon
This vintage teaspoon is adorable!
All the BoXession admin ladies will tell you all I love a box that has a little bit of everything – not just your average makeup or skincare. The addition of this beautiful product immediately sets it apart from others, showing preference for the thought process and ideas behind the chosen theme. I love quirky, unique items that add character to a box and this vintage spoon provides that element. Recycled, up cycled, hand stamped and just perfectly suited to this month’s theme in every way!
Is it worth it?
When totalled up this box value is approximately £27. When paying a monthly subscription price of £23.50, postage and packaging included, this is a saving of £3.50. If a 3 or 6 month subscription were purchased this would equate to a more substantial saving. However, I don’t believe this box should be measured upon financial savings. Unique in approach, its merits are to be applauded for providing a box of delightful and luxurious treats. Melanie and Marie are proving that their ideas and carefully curated boxes are increasingly popular month upon month. Congratulations ladies!
