Roccabox Review by Mel – June 2017

It’s that time of the Month again, some people eagerly await pay-day… which of course is important. Mel, well I await Box Day! I really need to move House though, as living in the middle of nowhere whilst it is pretty and quiet, means my boxes take longer to arrive and I am far too impatient to not sneak a look at the spoilers on the group! I have tried not looking and even lasted a day! That is some serious willpower. I received mine Monday 5th June, some people had theirs on the BoXession Group on Saturday. Mine arrived as usual via Yodel courier, no complaints there as they are used to me by now and my parcel deliveries.
This month’s collaboration is with Jessica Harris from TWENTY6 Style. I have to be honest I have not heard of her before but I have now followed her on Instagram.
I have said it before, but I love this idea and the way the leaflet in the box tells you about Jessica and her Blog. It’s a USP (Unique Selling Point) without a doubt.
So now that I have ripped open the pink bag and opened the crisp white box of goodies I can reveal ….
What’s in the Box?

  • Bloomtown Botanicals Roll-on Infused Oil, The Rose Garden – Handbag Size (Full Size) RRP £4.80
  • Overlum Bath Oil – Travel Size 15ml (3 x 15ml costs £16) so worth £5.33
  • Vintage Cosmetic Company Eyelash Curlers – Full Size RRP £7
  • Svelte Super Tea – A pack of 12 costs £3.49 so worth 29p
  • Bellapiere Kiss Proof Lip Creme in Incognito – RRP £20

Box Total = £37.42
Actual Cost = £13.95 including P&P
Total Saving = £23.47
The Bloomtown Botanicals roll on infused oil is absolutely divine. I didn’t have high hopes for this on first sight, but I have had it on all day and can still smell it. My wrists feel moisturised too because of the oil. I already use oil based perfume, the extremely expensive Clive Christian X, it costs similar to a monthly mortgage but I fell in love with in Selfridges as you do. I now only buy that and during the daytime just use cheaper scents I can cover myself in guilt free. I have to say I really will buy this again or similar things. It’s a perfect handbag size and also the cost at only £4.80 is a steal!
Overlum Bath Oil isn’t for me really, I will pop this on the group for swap. I know that this type of product is really popular, however I can’t bear the feel of oil in water. This is a personal preference. I can see its place in the box though and I have heard of the brand before.
Vintage Cosmetic Company Eyelash Curlers – Yes these are for me. I already love the brand. I own tweezers, hair accessories, shower cap, makeup brushes and more. I don’t have any of these so definitely an addition to my Beauty collection that is welcomed and will be used. I am only a little sad I didn’t get them in Rose Gold as I love the colour. But that’s a minor gripe.
Svelte Super Tea – I think if this had been a whole pack of 12 I may have been a little more forgiving, but this as an item in the box this month I feel is very misplaced. Its value is 29p. Not something I will use at all. I do save them up and once I have a stash I will give them away to someone on the group.
Lastly the Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme in Incognito. I am a happy bunny, very much an item I will use. I love matte lippies, I love the colour and the brand. A full size £20 item to boot, this is definitely my favourite item in the box and will be getting used.
My Verdict?
The value of this months box is quite a lot lower than the previous months (March Box – £59, April – £57, May – £45). The Tea Bag unimpressed me a little if I am being honest. But overall it hasn’t deterred me from being a subscriber to Roccabox. I will use 3 out of 5 of the items which are undoubtedly worth more than the £10 I have paid of the box.
I look forward to next Month’s instalment.
