Latest in Beauty Review by Mel – February 2017

If I am honest I am going to struggle to review this without urging every reader to BUY THIS NOW. A lot of our group members and certainly my fellow Admin would agree with me that this is one of their favourite subscription boxes. Not so long ago Latest in Beauty had a complete makeover of their website. With their new sign up options and promise of adding a new product to their selection daily it has certainly proved very popular. We all love getting our beauty boxes, but this one lets you choose your own items, which guarantees almost that you are going to love and use the products. For me this was unquestionable, am I going to sign up? Err take my money now! Ha ha.
So you have 3 options:
Beauty Novice – 3 items with free P&P £9
Beauty Enthusiast – 6 items with free P&P £15
Beauty Guru – 9 items with free P&P £18
I have previously had a 3 item selection; I have also had one of their themed Christmas one off boxes that I purchased In the January sale for £6! I have added a picture to this review. For this specific purchase I wanted some items to make up a gift hamper for my Sister as a Birthday gift, so I went for the 9 items.
I chose the following:
The Beauty Guru – 9 item selection – £18 (FREE postage)
1 x Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Bio-Plasma Mud Mask 100ml rrp £8.29
1 x Invisibobble The Traceless Hair Ring True Black rrp £4.95
1 x Molton Brown Frankincense & Allspice Hand Wash 100ml retail value £6
1 x Rituals Mini Under a Fig Tree Fragrance Sticks 50ml rrp £14.50
1 x Optiat The Hungover Coffee Scrub in Potent Peppermint retail value £6.25
1 x Optiat Hit the Sheets Coffee Scrub in Vanilla Velvet 90g retail value £6.25
1 x Salon Science Reglosse 50ml rrp £12
1 x Native Unearthed Natural Crystal Deodorant with Aloe Leaf Juice 100g £6.49
1 x Salon Science Reprotectant Thermal Crème 150ml rrp £12
1 x Merci Handy Flower power hand cleansing gel 30ml retail value £2.56
1 x FREE large Makeup Bag (cannot give a value but high quality)
Total Value = £79.29
This gets better. As a new subscriber I got 30% off, yes you read that correctly. So I got all of the above for £12.60!! That’s a HUGE saving of £66.69!! I don’t think I could turn on my laptop fast enough to get an order placed.
One of our lovely group members Theo managed to negotiate a discount code, which is valid until 17th February 2017.
If you follow this link and use the code BEAUTYSUPERSPY it will get you 30% off any of the subscription options I listed further up.
To be honest, even at full price its only £2 per item for a 9 item box, which is still an absolute steal.
The postage was super fast, I ordered on a Thursday evening, it was despatched on Saturday and arrived Tuesday via Yodel.
They have a section on their website to personalise your account, asking things such as hair colour and skin tone, also your date of birth. I have completed it but I am unsure of any relevance it has yet. Maybe we will get birthday treats or codes? Who knows? At present they have 220 items listed, an item is added daily to this. The popular ones go really fast, so if you want to get in there fast then the new item is added at midnight.
My verdict on Latest In Beauty? We all love you LIB, and please keep sending the discount codes our way. We promise to share and get you some more new subscribers. For anyone reading this who has not yet tried it out, head over to you won’t be disappointed!
